At Ekata, movement training is the gateway to awareness and good health.  Our instructors not only give adults and kids a great workout, they teach you to move correctly!  We emphasize proper form and bio-mechanical structure while still offering serious conditioning.  We are trained specialists who take pride in our quality of instruction!  You won’t find any bootcamp blown-out backs at Ekata!

CLASSES

  • KETTLEBELL CONDITIONING

Kettlebells are known world-wide as a fantastic tool to build functional strength, flexibility and endurance. This full body workout teaches “bells” from the ground up, emphasizing proper technique and enabling the practitioner to make huge gains in an intelligent manner.

  • ZUMBA

What is a Zumba fitness class like?  It’s a very exciting dance party atmosphere full of Latin and international music.  You’ll forget your working out with the sexy but simple moves to dance music like Cha Cha Salsa, reggaeton, rumba and more.  Best of all, you don’t need any previous dance experience!  It’s fun and effective using interval training combining fast and slow rhythms for an effective aerobic workout while at the same time targeting your legs, abs, glutes and arm

  • QIGONG

Qi-Gung pronounced (Chee-gong) is known as a Chinese Internal Art.  Ancient breath and movement practices combine to promote longevity, mental and physical harmony, and the proper circulation of Qi, or life force throughout the body.

  • YOGA

Yoga is designed to help you gain an immediate present state of consciousness.  Yoga teaches the ability to move forward day by day into a state of wholeness, well being and enlightenment as well as shedding physical tension that has built up in your body.

  • PILATES/STRETCH/CORE CONDITIONING

Our core class incorporates training techniques from Pilates and dance – with core training, balance and strength exercises.  This one-of-a- kind class developed by classically trained dancer Kristem DeBenedetto is designed to make you fluid, flexible and stable.  You will move with the finesse and grace of a ballet dancer who can kick butt!
