What’s Included In The Program
Learn about a wide variety of martial arts such Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, a kickboxing style from France called Savate, and Thai boxing or Muay Thai. Learn about these styles from experienced instructors as we break down the mechanics of each movement, fight tactics, self defense applications, coordination/speed drills all while in the comfort of your own home!
Help improve cognitive function and overall brain health by employing mindfulness techniques. All classes at Ekata are rooted out of mindfulness, the ability to be present in the moment and to calmly recognize your thoughts, body sensation and feelings. Training consists of moderate to complex drills that will help stimulate and train your brain while meditative portions will give you tools to use after each session to help manage stress and emotions.
Fitness is one of the core components to live a healthy life and promote longevity. Ekata’s online classes provides one of the best full body workouts and best of all, you get to learn effective martial arts and strengthen your brain while you do it! We have experts who will be able to coach you during class and give recommendations to people with different fitness levels. The Online Format
Teaching classes online allows us to provide people with the knowledge and benefits of being a member here at Ekata without physically having to be here. Whether you are on the go, you would like to acquire a new hobbie, or just don’t have as much free time to commute back and forth to a gym or studio, you will always have an option to learn from a place that is comfortable for you!

Frequently Asked Questions
Our instructors have been training many people from different backgrounds, whether you are new to martial arts, or returning, we will be able to provide exercises that can be mastered but also provide a challenge.
Our classes are designed to allow people to train at their own pace. If you have any limitations in terms of your fitness capabilities, or physical limitations such as an injury you may have sustained, we will have the right training methodology for you.
Each class is one hour long and it consists of martial arts training in the classes art form and mindfulness training.
We do not require online students to wear a uniform. We do have gear that can be purchased and provided to the students but only our studio classes require you to wear a uniform. Please try to wear black, loose fitted clothing and some kind of indoor shoe.
Online students may belt test up to Green Belt. Our Jeet Kune Do blend system has rankings all the way to Black Belt, but due to the complexity of the techniques we are not able to run a belt test for upper rankings.
We require students to download or use Zoom and to use an electronic device that has a camera and microphone for communication and tips from our instructors. Common devices such as a laptop/tablet/phone will all be sufficient. The Zoom system requirements are as follows:
- An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
- Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth
- A webcam or HD webcam – built-in or USB plug-in
- Or, a HD cam or HD camcorder with video capture card

If you miss a class you will not be able to make up the missed time. Your payment will not be prorated based on your attendence. If you are curious about what we covered, you may send us an email and we will get back to you shortly.

Consistently attending 5 AM 3x a week has helped keep the curriculum fresh and fitness levels mildly improving. I believe going back to basics and drilling with instructor critiques has improved my overall JKD form.. Plus the instructor keeps the class material fresh each day. This is the perfect way to start your day. It’s packed full of energy producing exercises that make you feel more alert and awake once your done. Also let face 5am workout during quarantine..... that’s automatic beast mode. Teacher is excellent and has the cutest laugh on the planet. Students are all levels and supportive. And best of all, it online zoom format so you can workout in your PJ’s . Thank you Ekata for providing a much need first thing reset to focus and feel good.
Because of the malicious COVID-19, all classes had to migrate from the gym, to online. I am very happy that Ekata enabled their students to train online with them. Being on "lockdown / quarantined at home" the last thing I want to do is sit down even longer, and feel like a depressed prisoner at home. Fortunately, Ekata and their 5 AM class has allowed me to continue the journey in JKD.
